10 Digital Products That Bloggers Can Sell
10 Digital Products That Bloggers Can Sell
Hey there! Blogging is not only a great way to share your writing and your passions, it actually can be a very lucrative way to make money. You don’t have to blog about blogging to make money blogging either. One of the main ways that bloggers make money is by selling digital products of their own.
Why Should I Sell Digital Products?
There are many reasons to sell digital products.
Just to name a few:
- No hassle of shipping physical products
- No start-up costs
- Passive Income (once you create the product and set up sales funnels)
Every blogger can sell digital products and make money from their blog, you just have to know what to sell!
How to Sell Digital Products
The first thing you need is a website/blog, which if you’re already a blogger then you have. If not, I have a guide on how to start a blog. Then, you need a place actually host your items and handle the checkout. My suggestion would be to use SendOwl. All you have to do is upload your product to their platform and then you can set up the landing page on your site and link your button to their cart. Bluchic, where I bought my theme, does this and I think it looks very professional! SendOwl is a very easy platform to use and sell your digital products with.
The Best Digital Products to Sell
These are some of the best digital products to sell. Some are easy to create and get going while some do take a little bit more work to create and maintain.
Ebooks
Ebooks are one of the easiest things for bloggers to start selling. Ebooks are basically a how-to guide for something. So, if you have something that you can teach in an easy to digest way, then you can write an ebook! It doesn’t have to be 100 pages long, just however long you need it to be to clearly walk someone through what you’re teaching.
To create an ebook, all you need to do is find a topic that you know enough about, write it out in Word or Pages, and then design the graphics using a program like Canva.
Swipe Files
Swipe files are something that sounds more complicated than they are. All they are is a PDF with a proven method that gets you results. Have you created and launched an awesome product? Then you can sell the sales funnel you used for success. Does your email list have an awesome open rate? You can sell a swipe file with some of your best headlines. The important thing is to make sure that you can show and prove that your swipe file has given you success. That’s the point of swiping it!
WordPress Themes
Know how to code an entire website? If you’re handy with graphic design and website coding, then you may want to start selling WordPress themes! Bloggers are always on the hunt for gorgeous and functional themes. Just make sure that your themes are responsive and you offer some great value with your themes if you’re going to be charging a good amount for them. Bluchic sells awesome and feminine WordPress themes (the theme my blog runs is the Maggie theme).
Online Courses
Online courses are also something that any blogger in any niche can do! I look at it as a step-up from selling an ebook. You don’t have to sell a course about blogging to be successful either, which many people believe to be true. You can create a course on any topic you want, as long as you’re providing value and solving a problem for your customers. Many bloggers have courses that teach about blogging, but if you blog about cake decorating, scrapbooking, even traveling, then you can create a course for your audience!
One of my favorite courses is related to blogging, but it’s on how to master Pinterest. Ell Duclos’ Pinterest with Ell course teaches the basics of Pinterest as well as creating a good Pinterest marketing strategy.
Stock Photos
If you’re handy with a camera and know photography and editing, then you may want to start selling stock photos. Styled stock photos are always in demand from bloggers and even businesses! You can sell them individually or in a bundle.
One of my favorite stock photo sites is Ivory Mix. She sells her beautiful photos individually and in a bundle. She also has a membership portion, but I’ll get into that in a bit!
Printables
If you have a graphic design background them printables might be a good fit for your blog. Printables are easy because you just have to design them, upload them, and then market them. They are a very good passive income stream.
Some examples of printables include:
- Planners
- Art prints
- Lesson plans
- Stickers
You can design printables in Canva or Illustrator. I design my printables in Canva.
Templates
Do your social media designs perform well and look great? Then maybe you want to sell them as templates to other bloggers! Some popular templates that bloggers are on the lookout for are social media templates, media kits, and logos!
A good example of templates to sell would be Bluchic’s Social Media Templates! These templates are designed to specifically be used with Canva, but you can design templates in Illustrator, Canva or another program.

Membership Sites
Membership sites are one of the biggest and most challenging things to create and maintain. You have to constantly be providing value to your members because they are constantly paying you.
One of the best examples would be Ivory Mix’s VIP membership! I have her yearly membership and she adds photos twice-a-month to her site.
Fonts
If you can handletter, then you can turn that into a font! This is also another more intensive digital product, at least in creating it. Once you set it up, then it’ll be passive. You can sell your fonts on places like Creative Market or FontBundles. Designers and creative are always looking for some cute new fonts for their projects!
Patterns
Are you crafty? Do you sew, crochet, or use something with patterns? You can design and sell those digital patterns and make passive income! All you need to do is create the pattern, as well as some instructions, then upload them and sell them! This is something that many crafters don’t think about when thinking about making passive income.
Like I said, you don’t have to be a blogger that blogs about blogging to sell digital products! You just have to know what to sell!
Let’s chat! Do you have a digital product that you’re getting ready to sell! Let me know in the comments!
This was really helpful Lauren! Thank you for sharing.
Always,

This is a great resource for bloggers wanting to start selling digital products. I finally created my first product last year after putting it off for years and I wish I would have done it sooner!
Congrats! That’s awesome!
