Happy Tuesday!

I hope y’all had a fantastic weekend and that your week is starting off on the right foot! I had a pretty decent weekend, work went pretty well. I’m about to get in the mix of finals though for the semester so it’s going to get a but crazy! So, I wanted to share 15 apps that college students definitely should have!

Today I wanted to share the 50 things that make me happy tag! I didn’t realize how hard it would be to come up with 50 things that make me happy! Anyway, here they are!

Trello(iPhone/Android)

Trello is an awesome scheduling tool that I use to keep track of my college classes and my blog editorial calendar! Use Trello to keep track of all of your assignments for the semester. I actually wrote an entire post about how you can use Trello to help succeed in your classes! You can find that post here!

MyFitnessPal(iPhone/Android)

MyFitnessPal is an app that can help you track your calories in vs calories out. You just plug in what you ate and drank for the day and what exercise you did and voila! You can put your current weight and measurements so you can keep track of your weight.

Mint(iPhone/Android)

Mint is a budgeting app that lets you keep track of your income and expenses. It also allows you to create budgets for yourself and it sends you reminders about when bills are due, if you set it to. It connects to your bank account to allow you to easily see your spending habits.

Postmates(iPhone/Android)

Postmates allows you to get food, and even groceries, delivered to your door {or dorm}. Who doesn’t want that? I know for a fact that Chipotle delivers in major cities through Postmates. That’s right, you can get your Chipotle delivered straight to your door!

Evernote(iPhone/Android)

Evernote is a note taking app that allows you to create notebooks and file note under them. It also allows you to give your notes tags to more easily separate them. You can use this app for school notes, quick group project meeting notes, or anything in between!

University App

If your university has an app, you definitely should have that on your phone {duh!}. You’re able to get your online course info, event updates, and any updates from the university straight to your phone. If you’re always on the go, then you definitely need to be able to access your university online.

LiveSafe(iPhone/Android)

LiveSafe is a relatively new app, used to help college students stay safe on campus. This mobile safety app is helpful to college students to report anything unsafe they may see on campus, allowing campus security to get accurate location info based on the user’s phone, you can even virtually walk friends home through the app. This is definitely a must-have for students.

Pinterest (iPhone/Android)

Everything is better on Pinterest. Get cute dorm ideas, find easy snack recipes, find study hacks. You can even plan your future with it! You can even find Creatively Lauren on Pinterest and get awesome college tips! Find us here!

SelfControl(Mac)

If you get distracted while doing your homework on your computer, then you should have this app on it. If you have a Mac, then you can just download this open-source application and viola. You can now block yourself from distracting websites, social media, anything that you set it to, for a certain amount of time.

EasyBib(iPhone/Android)

It’s always handy to have a bibliography app on hand, especially when you may be gathering sources on the go. Just scan the book’s ISBN number from the app and bam, you have a citation!

Cram (iPhone/Android)

If you’re running behind on studying and don’t have time to make your own physical flashcards, then Cram is right for you. You can create your own flashcard deck or search for decks that have already been created if you’re really short on time.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary (iPhone/Android)

It’s definitely useful to have a dictionary in your back pocket. If you come across a word you don’t know, then whip out your dictionary app and conquer it.

Google Drive/Dropbox(Dropbox: iPhone/Android Google Drive: iPhone/Android)

Never worry about leaving your presentations or papers behind again. Don’t worry about that pesky USB stick. You don’t even have to email your presentation to yourself! If you have Google Drive or Dropbox, then you don’t have to worry about it! Just upload your paper/presentation the night before and sign in when you get to class and it will be sitting there waiting for you!

Quizlet(iPhone/Android)

If you’re looking for a study guide, of sorts, then Quizlet is definitely an app that you need. Search quizzes based on what class you may be taking or create your own to help future students down the road.

Spotify (iPhone/Android)

Music is always a great study companion, and Spotify allows you to create your own playlists. If you stick with the free version, you do have to listen to ads, but you can always upgrade to Spotify premium!

  1. Mint is awesome! I didn't discover it until right after I graduated, and it would have really helped me in college!Juliahttp://www.thephillyphotoblog.com/

  2. I couldn't find any good audio recording app. Some student likes to record their classes and then listen to them to find out what they had missed, or to use recorder lectures as audio-books. Or some good video recording app, cos my standard iPhone cant manage so much videos, and they take too much space, like literally one lecture can be up to 10 Gb. And more importantly, apps that could help you do your homework, why you don't include something like this, or its not the case in your article?

  3. Thanks for a great post. If only I had read it a year ago ๐Ÿ™‚ Those apps can really improve your productivity. I am a second grade student now, and when I was a junior I used https://essaynara.com to help me with my assignments. If I had known about these apps, I would have had much more free time to do my homework )

  4. There are some great apps I wish I knew about when I was a student! Spotify is definitely at the top of my list lol along with Pinterest! However I prefer Yazio (https://www.yazio.com/en) to MFP as it offers simply and healthy recipe ideas ๐Ÿ™‚
