2018 Year in Review

Hey there! It’s New Year’s Eve and that means that it’s time to go over 2018! A lot has happened in 2018, a lot of change has occurred, and it’s looking like 2019 will be continuing the trend of change. So, with that, here is my 2018 Year in Review!

This year was filled with a lot of change, and change isn’t my favorite thing in the world. Meaning, I don’t always deal with it well. So, even though this year was challenging at some points, there were many highlights of the year. So, here are some of the big things that happened this year.

Got married

This is the most exciting part of 2018, Matt and I got married! We got married up in Sedona in March and it was the best day ever. We had such a good time, the ceremony was amazing, and I was so glad I got to spend the night with great friends and family. I can’t believe it’s already been over nine months since we got married. This year really flew by!

Traveled internationally for the first time

In conjunction with getting married, Matt and I traveled internationally for the first time ever! We took our honeymoon in St. Lucia, at the Sandals La Toc resort. We spent five days there and the resort was absolutely beautiful. It was so exciting to travel internationally, I was nervous but it was so fun. We had the best vacation ever and I felt like it flew by, but also didn’t. We had a great time and ate some really good food. I hope that more international travel is in store for 2019!

Lost my job, got a new one

Because Matt and I got married, one of us had to leave the airline we both worked for. At the time, we decided that because I couldn’t move up in the company and I was getting frustrated and defeated, that I would be the one to leave. The unfortunate thing is I had to leave before I could secure a new job, but I’m not getting into that. On the other hand, I got a new job with a new airline and I’m so happy and I love it! It’s been hard adjusting, but we’re managing with schedules and I’m managing with the new systems and policies. Overall, I’m happy with the change!

Migrated to WordPress

I’m very excited about this one. I blogged on Blogger for four years and it served me very well, but I decided that it was time to migrate to WordPress and upgrade my blog. You have to invest money to make money and I do want to make money with this blog, so it was time to upgrade. I’m so happy with my blog and new theme and WordPress, it has been treating me well so far! I’ve already migrated some of my templates that I sold on Etsy on to this site. I haven’t gotten them all on to the site, but I’ve gotten some! I’m also going to add my media kit templates, and more!
