5 Date Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Hey there! Valentine’s Day is coming up and that means it’s time to find a date idea! If you have a significant other to spend time with, it can seem stressful to figure out what to do. I look at Valentine’s Day as a way to go the extra mile for your significant other. You should appreciate them every day, but Valentine’s Day is your reason to go beyond that.

Now, if you’ve been doing Valentine’s Day for awhile, you know that many people will go to dinner that night, and the restaurants are packed. I would know, we made that mistake before. Plus, why would you want to do something that everyone else is doing. I want to give you some ideas of things you can do for Valentine’s Day. Also, if none of these work for you, I’ll give you some tips to figure out something for the two of you.

1. Couples Spa Day

Getting a couple’s massage or taking a spa day together could be fun. Everyone should get a massage once in a while, and getting one with your partner would make it even more special. If you don’t want to get a massage together, then you could also do something else relaxing, get a facial together, or just a nice day at the spa.

2. Romantic Stay-cation

If you live in a place that people like to stay at, or near a really scenic place, then a stay-cation would be great. Many people don’t have the time or funds to take a long vacation, but a stay-cation is typically in your city and just one night, so it’s not time intrusive and it’s cost-effective. A stay-cation is about taking yourself out of your everyday routine so you can spend some quality time together.

3. Pottery Class

Valentine’s Day can be a fun way to start something new. Learning new things together could lead to a fun new hobby. Some cities also have a drink-and-paint kind of night, where you get to drink some wine/beer and paint pottery. So, like those fun painting parties when you were a kid but with adult beverages in the mix!

4. Watch the Sunrise

If you have to work on Valentine’s Day and want to do something before work, you can watch the sunrise! You can either hike a local trail, or find a local park with a view and watch the sunrise together to get a relaxing and refreshing start to your day. This is a good idea for anyone that is going to be busy during the evening.

5. Visit a Themed Show

Many places have Valentine’s Day specials, like comedy clubs, theaters, etc. So, find a show that fits your genre and go see a Valentine’s Day special! This one you might want to plan ahead, and if you are thinking of going last minute then you want to call ahead and see if you can get last minute tickets.

All in all, Valentine’s Day is a day to show your love and appreciation for your partner and to spend quality time together. If you’re looking for date ideas, think about something that you enjoy doing that you may not have done in a while, it would be a great surprise for your partner. Another good date idea would be something new that you have been wanting to try together.
