April Blog Traffic Report (2019)

Hey there! I can’t believe that it’s already May! That means that it’s time to go over my April blog traffic numbers!

Every month I share my traffic stats to show what my numbers are, how I use social media to drive traffic to my blog and to share that it’s okay to have lower numbers. Many traffic reports show these big numbers and make newer bloggers feel disappointed about their numbers. Remember, it’s not always about the numbers. You can have lower numbers but a tight-knit community. Stop comparing, and do you!

This month I had 1,158 users and 1,298 sessions that resulted in 1,682 pageviews. I tried to make sure I consistently posted throughout the month, which I was doing well with until the end of the month. Pinterest was once again my main traffic referrer, it usually is. I did get some organic search traffic this month, but not really where I want that to be yet. However, I have been working on my reach on Pinterest since it is my main traffic referrer.

Twitter

For Twitter, I ended April with 40,800 impressions and 1,260 followers. That’s a follower increase of 38 followers. I wasn’t really active on Pinterest besides my automation posting. I was trying to work on my Pinterest numbers, so I kind of let Twitter slide. Besides my automated tweets, I don’t want to come across too salesy on Twitter. I want Twitter to be where readers can come to see the real me, less filtered than other social media platforms.

Pinterest

I ended the month with 132,522 impressions and 100,180 viewers total for the whole month. I also ended the month with 2,332 followers, which was an increase of 77 followers from last month! That is some good numbers! At the end of the month, I decided to give Tailwind another try. I’m excited to see how Tailwind helps me boost my Pinterest traffic. I also ended the month with an average of 178,586 monthly viewers and 7,201 average monthly engaged users. This is another slight decrease from the month before. Using Tailwind to help me post consistently should help this number increase over time.

This month I got 179,876 impressions and 140,203 viewers for just my website’s pins. That means that my pins get 5,996 average daily impressions and 4,673 average daily viewers. I’m hoping that Tailwind will help me boost my website’s pin numbers as well.
