Friday Favorites: Lake Tahoe
First off, I want to say that I’m all signed off on my training and am officially a gate agent! I’m so excited {and so done with training}. Okay, now to this week’s favorites! This past weekend, I went to Lake Tahoe with Matt and {although there was a lot of some stress involved} I still enjoyed the area. So this list of favorites is going to be anything and everything of what I enjoy about Lake Tahoe.
The Trees
Even though I will repeatedly say how beautiful the Arizona desert is, sometimes it is nice to see miles upon miles of green trees. Plus the fresh smell of fire pine just makes it even more enjoyable. I really enjoy seeing the blue sky and green trees. Don’t get me wrong, I love the desert but sometimes a change of scenery is nice!
The Food
A lot of the food is locally grown or organic, even the food restaurants serve. This means that the food is really rich and {of course} delicious! I find myself overeating because I’m not accustom to the food up there. Some of my favorite restaurants include Jake’s on the Lake and Village Pizzeria.
The People
Many people who live in Tahoe {like the people who work at the restaurants} are so chill and laid back. There’s a smoothie place called Mountain Nectar that we love to go to, and the workers there are so laid back and just great! Oh, and if you tip you get triple karma all day!
The Difference in Lifestyle
Where we stay in Tahoe, the lifestyle is so different than Phoenix. No one is in a rush and there is no hustle and bustle; it’s just going with the flow. That makes it much easier to relax when you don’t have to worry about hustling all of the time.
So Many Things to Do
There are so many outside activities to do in Tahoe so you’re not staying inside a hotel room glued to your phone. There’s hiking, rafting, tubing, bike riding, pottery making, shopping, and many other activities!
Tahoe is just a very nice place to go on vacation and just relax! I wish I could’ve done more but there wasn’t much time to do all of what I wanted to do. So check it out, you may fall in love as well! Where is one of your favorite places to go on vacation?!
