Lake Tahoe 2018

Hey there! Today I wanted to share our annual trip to Lake Tahoe! We had so much fun! We only got to go one week out of the two, we usually go both weeks but we were sick the first week so we didn’t make it out.

This post is going to be limited on pictures, I honestly didn’t take that many. We were just enjoying our time together away from work.

We stayed at the Olympic Village Inn, his parents have a timeshare. The resort is so cute and quaint, it is so peaceful. The rooms are a bit small, but they were originally for Olympic players, not families. We got there Wednesday night, spent Thursday and Friday up there, and came back Saturday morning. Thursday was pretty hot for Tahoe and Friday was very hazy.

Most of the food we ate was at The Village, which is a few minutes walk from the inn. It’s a central place that has shops, restaurants, condos, and is where the tram is to take you up to high camp. For breakfast both days, we went to Mountain Nectar. Lunch on Thursday was Panda Express, because I had been wanting it. Dinner on Thursday was Rocker. I had an awesome burger, but my stomach started cramping really bad so I couldn’t eat all of it. Friday for lunch we had Mountain Nectar and dinner was at Fireside Pizza Co, where I had spaghetti and meatballs.

We played a lot of board and card games, Scrabble, Five Crowns, Karma, and Quiddler. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time together. We also went to the activities center and played some ping pong. We didn’t end up going to Tahoe City, we didn’t need to.

It definitely didn’t feel long enough, we’ve been so busy. But, I was glad that we got to spend some time away and relax.
