Life Update March 2018

Hey there!! I’m back! I know, I’ve been gone for a long time. Between work, wedding planning, and my Etsy shop I got really busy and felt that I couldn’t keep up with the blog. I know you all enjoyed my posts and tips and I’m sorry to have not been posting. I’m planning to get back in the saddle with posting again! But for now, let’s talk about how life has been lately.

We got married!

So the first and most important thing that happened is that Matt and I got married! We got married on March 11, 2018 in Sedona, Arizona! It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was so much fun. Our friends and family were there and it was just a great time! We had been planning our wedding since last March and to see it all finally come together was so great. As soon as I get all of the pictures, I’m going to have a dedicated post with all of the pictures. We also went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon which was so much fun. I’m also going to have a dedicated post with all of the pictures from our trip. Our trip was so relaxing and we had the time of our lives.

Five year anniversary

Besides getting married, Matt and I celebrated our five-year anniversary. We met in high school and then moved to Arizona in 2013. We got engaged last year and then got married this month! In the five years we’ve been together we moved to Arizona, got two cats, I graduated college, Matt finished flight school, we both started working at a major airline, Matt got promoted, we got engaged and married! I can’t believe that it has already been five years and at the end of the five years we got married!

Etsy shop

I wouldn’t say that my Etsy shop has “taken off” but it has been doing pretty well. I’ve been workidng on new social media template designs, and also branched out into some digital paper designs! Work

Work has been pretty stressful, and in conjunction with wedding planning, is the main reason that I felt that I could not keep up with the blog. The holiday season was pretty busy for us. The work weeks leading up to the wedding started to get really stressful too. A lot of stuff would seem to go wrong everyday and I know that I couldn’t wait until my vacation started. And now I’m hoping that it won’t end!

With the long hours per shift it had made my days off really hard to get a lot of stuff done, because for one day I would just be too tired to do stuff. I’m not saying that has changed, because I still work my long hours, but without the wedding planning, I’m planning to get the blog back in the front. Again, I’m sorry that I haven’t been posting, I’m planning on changing that. The next post is going to be a “what went wrong” post. A post trying to explain what happened with Creatively Lauren and why I eventually just stopped posting.
