Pretty WordPress Themes for Bloggers

Edit 4/11/19: Hey there. I wanted to update this post in light of some serious allegations against pipdig. I have since switched my theme away from them and at this time do not recommend them, at all. I’m going to share the Wordfence article, Jem Jabellas article, and pipdig’s response in regards to this situation. Now, you can make your own informed decision, but I cannot recommend them in good faith to you, my readers. If you bought a theme based off of my recommendation, I truly am sorry. Thank you.

Hey there! Today I want to talk about WordPress themes for bloggers! The theme for your blog is how you express yourself and your brand. A good theme is worth the price (about $50-70 for a good working theme). Now, some themes require you to use the Genesis, or another, framework, which can double the price of your investment. But, you don’t have to do that!

My blog’s theme is not hosted on the Genesis framework or any other framework. A lot of research was put into themes, especially because I was looking into moving my blog from Blogger over to WordPress at the same time. I was looking for a theme that fit my branding that I had already redone with Creatively Lauren. Also, I was looking for something relatively affordable because I wasn’t ready to drop hundreds of dollars on a theme AND a framework.

I looked on Etsy, Creative Market, Elegant Themes, and everywhere else I could think of.

Then, I found pipdig!

Pipdig has a good selection of WordPress themes that are:

  • Affordable ($59-$69)
  • Customizable
  • SEO friendly
  • Responsive
  • Free and automatic updates for life

Plus, their service is incredible! They offer free installation as well as their own “p3” plugin that offers even more customization and WordPress enhancements!

I personally chose Aruba Nights – Classic Blog for my blog because I loved the font combination and it fit the look that I was going for with my branding.

A few of my other top choices…

Style & Light Theme

Equinox Theme

Sartorial Theme

If you want to be taken seriously, you need a professional and aesthetically pleasing theme for your blog. It also needs to be SEO-friendly and mobile responsive since many people like to read blogs on the go!
